AUSTRALIA'S BEST JEWELLERY DESIGNERS DAZZLED AT THE HARPER'S BAZAAR DIAMOND GUILD AUSTRALIA 2009 JEWELLERY AWARDS
Excellence in Australian jewellery design was on show at the Harper's Bazaar Diamond Guild Australia 2009 Jewellery Awards when five winning designers were announced.
Diamond Guild Australia represents industry leaders committed to upholding the highest standards, quality and ethics in the Australian diamond industry. These Awards are the ultimate accolade for an Australian designer.
Diamond Guild Australia's Chairman, Robert Musson said that, "the Harper's Bazaar Diamond Guild Australia Jewellery Awards recognises the very best in Australian jewellery design talent and showcases the outstanding innovation and style of our designers".

The glittering celebration of the best of Australian design talent was attended by Diamond Guild Australia ambassador Jessica Marais, Harper's Bazaar editor Edwina McCann, MC Kellie Connolley and top Australian fashion designers Marc Freeman (Camilla and Marc), Kit Willow (Willow), Terry Biviano, Marnie Skilling and Gail Elliott (Little Joe).

For women, diamonds represent high fashion, luxury and elegance, qualities which epitomise the Harper's Bazaar reader.
Diamond Guild Australia's Ambassador, Jessica Marais who appears in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar, wearing the Judges' Highly Commended Award, was elegantly dressed in stunning diamonds.
"To me, diamonds symbolise simple perfection and pure elegance. The Harper's Bazaar Diamond Guild Australia 2009 Jewellery Awards represent the very pinnacle of style. As one would expect, it was a room full of diamonds, every woman's dream," said Jessica.
Robert Musson said that winning one of these prestigious awards catapults the jeweller's standing in the industry and importantly their reputation among discerning jewellery buyers.
"The judging panel featured a mix of leading fashion and jewellery identities so the recognition of their designs is an enormous honour," added Mr Musson.
Entries were judged by a panel of four industry experts representing jewellery and fashion. These were Harper's Bazaar editor Edwina McCann and features editor Marina Afonina, DGA Chairman Robert Musson and renowned jewellery photographer David Perryman.
