Without a doubt it was The Argyle Pink Diamond Kimberly Red™ acquired and sold by J Farren-Price in 2009. Named to reflect the intensity of its colour, the 1.61ct Kimberly Red was graded by the GIA as “Fancy Purplish Red”. In more than 10 years, there has only been one other diamond Argyle diamond above 1.5ct graded by GIA as “Fancy Purplish Red”. I am delighted to say the Kimberly Red remains on Australian soil.
